Pokemon Go Community Day LEAK: Here’s what’s coming in April 15 eventOn April 14, 2018 by Margot
Soon, players will get to stack up their rewards and try their best at unlocking a new exclusive move.
But before that begins, a new Pokemon Go Community Day leak has surfaced.
As usual, players have been keeping a close eye on the Niantic backend gaming services before the April 15 event goes live.
And Trainers believe they’ve been given a first look at what new rewards will be available on the day.
As many players will already know, there will be a lot of Mareeps available to catch, which will likely stack with the existing Double Candy bonuses from the Kanto event.
Players who manage to evolve their Mareep all the way up to a Ampharos, will also unlock a new move.
For those who evolve their Mareeps into Ampharos, they will be rewarded with the exclusive move of Dragon Pulse.
Dragon Pulse is a Charge Move with a base power rating of 90 and a Damage per Energy ranking of 1.80.
It should be noted that Fast TMs and Charged TMs will not grant exclusive moves during Community Day.
And to learn the exclusive move, you must catch or evolve the featured Pokémon during Community Day hours.
More good news has also been discovered, with it now confirmed that Shiny Mareeps will also be available to catch.
While it was expected that the wooly Pokemon would be available in a new colour variant, the new design has now been found in the Pokemon Go network traffic.
Trainers don’t have access to the actual 3D sprite, but it appears that Shiny Mareeps will boast a pink coat and blue limbs.
The same will go for each evolution of Mareep, with Ampharos also sporting the same colours, according to those who found it.
The only difference is that Mareep has a fluffy orange tail, while Flaaffy has a green one, and Ampharos sports a blue tail.
The new Community Day is being held on Sunday, April 15, providing it’s own rewards and bonuses for three hours.
Niantic will drop the egg hatch distance during event hours, so you might want to save your 10km eggs.
As with previous Pokemon Go Community Day events, Lures will stay active for the entirety of the event.
Each regions has its own start times for the event, meaning that no one should have to be catching in the evening.
For the UK, Pokemon Go Trainers will need to head out around 10am, and will have three hours to collect all the Mareep Candy they can.
As mentioned above, other bonuses will also be active from the recently launched Kanto event.
Aerodactyl and Snorlax are currently being featured in Raid Battles across the world, as well as new Special Boxes being available to buy from the store.
Due to the timing of the Pokemon Go Community Day, some players have seen spikes in problems and server trouble.
Niantic usually provide extended hours for the event to make up for this, but it will be worth keeping an eye on the official Pokemon Go social channels.
