Meghan Markle always does THIS unusual act when travelling to avoid getting illOn March 13, 2018 by Margot
This has already meant a lot of travelling the UK to destinations such as Brixton and Cardiff, but the actress isn’t a novice when it comes to being on the road a lot.
During her career as an actress and ambassador, she has travelled extensively to a number of countries around the world and has honed the art of avoiding sickness when abroad.
She has previously revealed some of the clever ways to avoid getting ill.
Plane travel can affect the body in a number of ways, such as being dehydrating and spreading germs through the circulated air.
Thankfully Meghan has a tip on how to stay in the best shape possible that she has been told that fellow celebrity Leonardo DiCaprio swears by.
According to the star’s ex-lifestyle blog ‘The Tig’: “[H]e puts a little Neosporin on a cotton swab and coats the inside of his nostrils.
“Not only does it create a barrier for germs, it also lubricates the skin in the nose.”
Although this might sound bizarre, it can prevent the body from being infected.
She explained: “That’s important because when the skin cracks, germs can come a running in, so the coating of the Neosporin doubly protects you.”
Neosporin is often used for treating infections as it contains antibiotics.
It can also be used for eczema and skin conditions, thanks to the neomycin, polymyxin B, and bacitracin in it.
She advises other ways to stay healthy on a plane when travelling long-haul.
Using hand sanitiser on plane is the best way to wipe it down and avoid the germs left there from previous people.
Meghan wrote: “I’m no germophobe, but when I get on a plane I always use some quick hand wipes or a travel sanitizer spray to wipe it all down: that includes the little TV, the service tray, and all the buttons around your seat.”
Whilst she admits the person next may give “side eye”, it means staying healthy which is worth it when on holiday.
